We have no say in the payment process of contract jobs. Once you get a quote from your service provider it's between you two to figure out payment dates.

Thumbsup Services is a platform that bridges the gap between homeowners and local tradespeople.

All candidates are pre-screened and told that they will be interviewed, vetted, and monitored – and the results, positive or negative, will be made public. This dissuades a lot of service providers who know that their service is substandard. We ensure that the trades and services know that we are a consumer information service and that we have to remain unbiased. 

To pass our vetting process we require:

  • Past Clients 

Once a job is completed you'll have the chance to give your service provider a rating and a review.

You can view your ratings on your profile page once logged in.

Now more than ever we are trying our best to make sure we're connecting homeowners and service providers in the safest way possible. We've asked our service providers to always have a mask and to always maintain their social distance. We also ask our homeowners to be thoughtful.

There are popular service providers from your area that we do recommend to you, besides them you'd have to check the past ratings, reviews, and profile yourself.

Our feedback process promotes personal and professional growth. If at any time both our homeowners and service providers are unsatisfied with service or the hospitality they have the chance to voice their critique and request improvement.

Once the job is completed, on the app there is a "Help" page where you can report the case of this Service Provider and we will then open an investigation. If a service provider is reported 3 times they'll be permanently banned.

For general services, you can pay through our app or add your card and pay. However, for contract services, our service providers dictate the payment process.

Right after you end your service you can tip your tradesman. You can also sign in > my requests > select past services > enter tip amount > update.

Yes, all work should be carried out by following the current government guidelines. Tradespeople should check in advance that no one in that household is showing symptoms of coronavirus, self-isolating, or shielding. Both residents and tradespeople also have a responsibility to make people aware if they are experiencing symptoms and rearrange the works in line with government guidance.
